Are BioGriff toothbrushes really plant-based?
Yes. BioGriff bamboo toothbrushes feature bristles derived from castor bean oil, making them a plant-based alternative to traditional petroleum-based nylon bristles. The bamboo handle is FSC-certified, and the packaging is made from recyclable kraft paper with no plastic.
How soft are the toothbrush bristles?
The bristles have a soft-to-medium feel — firm enough to effectively remove plaque and surface stains, but gentle enough for sensitive gums and enamel. Many customers describe them as slightly softer than a standard "soft" bristle brush.
Are the floss picks biodegradable or compostable?
Our bulk floss picks (200-count) &individually wrapped floss picks (50-count) are made from a PBAT and starch material blend is a compostable material, but the finished product has not finished testing for certified compostable/biodegradable testing. We do not claim this product to be biodegradable.
Will the floss shred or break on tight teeth?
No — both our bulk and individually wrapped floss picks feature shred-resistant floss designed to glide between tight teeth and hard-to-reach back areas without fraying or snapping. Customers with crowns and tightly spaced molars have specifically praised the thin round thread for navigating tight contacts cleanly.
Is the water bottle actually leak-proof?
Yes. The BioGriff 32 oz insulated water bottle features a flip straw lid that seals tightly. Multiple customers have tested it sideways in bags and upside down and reported zero leaks.
How long does the water bottle keep drinks cold?
The double-wall vacuum insulation keeps drinks cold for 24 hours. Multiple customers have reported ice lasting 20+ hours. Our bulk floss picks come in a recyclable kraft paper box. Our individually wrapped floss picks come in a round paper recyclable container. Our individual wrapping is also kraft paper.
Are BioGriff products safe for kids?
Our bamboo toothbrushes are sized for adults. The floss picks are gentle and suitable for adults and older children. Always supervise young children during dental care.
